| Clay Runshe began in this industry 38 years ago making sheet metal fittings at Runshe’s Tin Shop, his father’s heating and air conditioning company. Runshe received a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Technology from Purdue University, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Runshe became a Professional Engineer in 1991 and hold an Unlimited License as a Heating and Air Conditioning Contractor in the City of Indianapolis where he served on the Board of Heating and Cooling Examiners for many years. Runshe is a member of the American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and am a Past President of the Central Indiana Chapter of ASHRAE.
In 1999 the 1st Place ASHRAE Region 5, Technology Award, Industrial Process Retrofit division was awarded to his design of the Cinergy Cayuga Generating Station HVAC system where his first Excel 5000 system was installed over 12 years ago. In 2001 another 1st place Region 5 Technology Award was given for The University Place Hotel Project. In this project a LCBS system controlled 7 air handling units, the hot and chilled water loops, produced chilled water for the guest rooms with the AHU economizer systems and regulated two 4 million BTU/Hr domestic water heaters that could provide unlimited hot water to 274 guest bathrooms. In 2002,Emmis Broadcasting’s WIBC and WNOU radio transmitters received a 1st place Region 5 Technology Award for Runshe's LCBS controlled HVAC systems.
Since joining Jackson Control Company in 2005, Runshe has been certified to design and program Tridium, Johnson Controls, and Honeywell building automation and monitoring systems.
