Building Controls: Level 3 (Indianapolis)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Building Controls Level III Class uses the fundamentals learned in Level I & II and further explores setup, configuration, and use of controllers via Tridium Niagara 4. The class will feature the Niagara Edge controller, Niagara Workbench, Niagara Programming, Niagara Graphics, and Scheduling. The course will cover Niagara Programming, creating a stable system, Graphics, Schedules, and adding controllers to existing networks, Users, and Histories and Trends.

The Building Controls Level III class is designed for students who have either taken Jackson Control’s Intro to Building Controls Level I & II classes OR have spoken to their Jackson Control rep and agree they are fit for the Level III class. Students must have a good knowledge of mechanical equipment, troubleshooting, and wiring before Level III.

This class will be an in-person 3-day instructor-led session by Jackson Control’s Allan Cicci and supported by Stephen Heckler.

  • Niagara Configuration

  • Niagara Graphics

  • Histories and Trends

  • User Management

  • Time Schedules

  • User Schedules

  • BACnet Integration (if time allows)

AUDIENCE: The Building Controls Level III class is designed for students who have either taken Jackson Control’s Intro to Building Controls Level I & II classes OR have spoken to their Jackson Control rep and agree they are fit for the Level II class.   • Niagara Workbench Temporary License

WHAT CERTIFICATION DOES THIS CLASS INCLUDE? Jackson Control’s Building Technology Institute Building Controls: Level 3 Certificate

PREREQUISITES:

  1. Students need to have a copy of Niagara Workbench installed and working BEFORE the first day of class.

    • If you do not have a Workbench, Jackson Control will provide a temporary license.

    • We must know a minimum of 5 days before class if Workbench is needed.

    • Jackson Control will send over instructions.

  2. Completion of Level I & II

  3. Completion of ‘Introduction to Niagara 4 (FREE)’ at www.TridiumUniversity.com

    • Log in, set up an account, and complete the modules before the first day of class.1. Students are required to register at Tridium University and take Intro to Niagara 4. This is FREE and takes about an hour.

  • 1024 x 768-pixel resolution display and video card minimum
