Spyder Model 5 Maintenance Release

The Spyder Model 5 is a scalable and freely programmable, BACnet MS/TP-based controller for room control - both unitary and VAV Variable Air Volume (VAV) units.


This software maintenance release includes feature enhancements and defect fixes as part of Honeywell’s continuous improvement. The software is available for download today and includes both a firmware update (V 2.0.1.12) and WEBStation N4 programming tool update (V2.2.0.21). In the coming weeks, Spyder Model 5 will ship from Honeywell with this latest firmware.

  • Certification as a BACnet Advanced Application Controller

  • Faster programming and smoother operation with:

    • Floating function block enhancements

    • Swap multiple devices in/out via Batch operation

    • Option to enable/disable AutoMAC address setting

    • Teach provides learn or override function with a single click

  • Easier troubleshooting with enhancements to diagnostics

  • Compatible with WEBStation-N4.9 and 4.9u1, including new features for COV support, multiple MSTP Trunk support, an enhancement to template deployment

  • Defect fixes. Refer to Software Release Bulletin for a list of fixed defects.
