JACE 9000 Update: Hardware Surcharge + SD Card Licensing Change
JACE 9000: Pricing and Licensing Updates
Two bulletins from Tridium and what they mean for your Jackson Control pricing.
Tridium has issued two updates affecting the JACE 9000: a per-unit hardware surcharge and a change to the licensing model. Here is what is changing and what it means for you.
UPDATE 1 OF 2
Hardware surcharge on JACE 9000
Ongoing inflationary pressures have continued to increase costs across manufacturing and the supply chain. Despite mitigation efforts through strategic sourcing and operational efficiencies, market-driven memory cost increases have continued to raise Tridium's operating costs.
JACE 9000 surcharge: $125 per unit (effective 10/6/26)
The surcharge applies to each JACE 9000 unit, whether purchased as a bundled JACE, sold separately, or sold in case lots. It replaces the existing tariff surcharge for US-based customers.
A flat, per-unit charge, exclusive of applicable taxes, duties, shipping and other fees.
Updated pricing is live online, effective immediately.
If you have an open, active quote with Jackson Control, we will honor that pricing.
The surcharge applies to hardware only. Licensing terms and licensing pricing are unchanged.
SD card model availability is limited to remaining stock. See the stock note below.
UPDATE 2 OF 2
JACE 9000 SD card update
Tridium is also changing how JACE 9000 controllers are licensed. An SD card is no longer required for licensing or operation. The JACE 9000 already has the ability to generate an internal Host ID, which provides the foundation for this change.
For orders accepted by Tridium after September 18, 2026, a JACE license can be bound to either the internal Host ID or a microSD (uSD) card. Both configurations will be supported during the transition period. The following transfers are supported:
JACE 9000 with SD card → JACE 9000 without SD card
JACE 9000 without SD card → JACE 9000 without SD card
Self-serve transfers are not yet available. Installed controllers keep running with no action required, and existing SD card inventory can continue to be used if available.
JACKSON CONTROL STOCK NOTE
Jackson Control has limited stock of JACE 9000 units that include an SD card. Once that stock is gone, we will carry the non-SD model only. Shop the JACE 9000 without SD card below.
