Tech Tip: Update Your Tosi Client before July 6, 2026
Update Your Tosi Client Before July 6, 2026
Starting July 6, 2026, Tosi is enforcing a minimum software version for Tosi Client on desktop (Windows and Mac). If your client isn’t updated by then, it will stop working until you install a supported version. This does not affect Tosi Client on iOS or Android.
Who this affects
Anyone running Tosi Client (Windows or Mac) older than version 4.4.1, including versions still labeled “Tosibox Key.” Already on 4.4.1 or newer? No action needed.
If you don’t update
You’ll see a “Too old client” error, and access will be blocked until you upgrade — service won’t resume on its own.
How to update
Easiest: accept the auto-update prompt if Tosi Client shows one.
Manual install: follow these steps. If the update won’t apply cleanly, uninstall the old client and reboot before reinstalling.
Windows 10 users: install 4.4.1 directly via this link.
Good to know
Supported on Windows 10/11 (64-bit), Windows Server 2019, macOS 15 Sequoia, and macOS 26 Tahoe (ARM and Intel).
Key 100 devices will no longer work with version 4.4.1 or newer.
A pop-up asking you to register your Key after updating is expected — just follow the prompts.
